TUBERS at the Water Leakage Summit 2025

Water Leakage Summit, held in Amsterdam on June 23–24, 2025, organised by IQ International, brought together industry leaders, researchers, and innovators to explore the latest solutions in water pipeline inspection and leak detection. The TUBERS project could not miss this key event, so representatives from our partner Alsymex were present to engage with stakeholders and share insights from our work.

TUBERS representatives met with stakeholders including De Watergroep (Belgium) and observed the growing role of AI in inspection systems, particularly for analysing data from pressure, flow, and hydroacoustic sensors. However, repair methods remain largely conventional, often requiring excavation and service interruptions.

Highlights included UK-based PIPA’s inline inspection tools using tethered vision systems, and LWF Group’s new fibre-optic Distributed Acoustic Sensing for advanced leak detection.

The event reaffirmed the urgency for integrated solutions like TUBERS to enable faster, smarter, and less disruptive pipeline maintenance.
